Strings with replaceable lamps make maintenance easier.
Glass bulbs are the most valuable but also the most delicate; they require extra care during assembly or in special weather conditions. Prolonged exposure to the sun does not damage or discolour them.
Plastic bulbs, on the other hand, are more convenient to install but tend to discolour or darken over time if exposed to the sun for too long.
Customisation
Bulb strings are available in many different models to allow you to decorate and furnish your environment with style.
Professional light bulbs string also give you the possibility to choose the colour of the cable, the size and shape of the bulb or light filament inside.
You can add a white or black lampshade to give your decoration a more vintage look.
Low voltage
Light strings with low-voltage bulbs are safer decorations, to be preferred when setting up public areas and in particular 'handy' spots - below 2.5 metres in height - such as a handrail, a trunk or a gazebo.
These catenaries, however, have less extendibility, making them more complex to use for large installations.
On the contrary, 230-volt decorations, thanks to the accessories they are equipped with, make it easier to set up major installations because fewer power points are required.
Extensibility
Before installation, it is necessary to estimate the number of sockets and power cables required. The smaller the number of cables, the quicker and easier the installation will be and the safer the electrical system will be.
Extendable festoon lights allow you to join several festoon lights string and achieve a greater length using only one power cable.
The extendibility of each festoon strings depends on the number of bulbs, their wattage and operating voltage. This is stated in the data sheet of each product.
Professional use
Catenary for professional use is designed for installers and professionals but also for those who wish to leave their bulbs hanging outside for long periods of time.
In general, it is better to use festoon strings for special occasions, events or for short holiday periods.
Professional catenaries, however, have reinforced cables, more weather-resistant lamp holders and more secure connections. This makes them more suitable in those contexts where prolonged outdoor use of the decoration is required.
Using the many wiring accessories, it is easy to install them for complex stage designs and the set-up of large areas.
